LOCAL ARTIST TO EXHIBIT AT THE 2012 Oscars
Westernville, NY 01/22/12 - Local fine artist Lynne Reichhart has been invited to showcase her work in Hollywood, CA at the Oscars gift Lounge. Lynne’s artwork will be included in swag bags at the WOW! Creations Media Gift lounge on Feb. 23rd prior to the ceremony which airs Feb. 26th.
Her fine art prints will be displayed by The IndiExhibit (www.theindiexhibit.org), a company that promotes independent artists from around the world.
Lynne has been painting and selling her art since 2006 and sells her pieces locally and nationwide. She shows her work regionally in both solo and group exhibitions where she has won various awards. Artist Lynne Reichhart will participate in the GBK Emmy Award gift lounge. She has created a special edition double sided print to include in the Emmy award swag bags. Lynne chose two of her favorite paintings to include: 'A View from a Deck' and 'Sleeping Barge' ; one with a more feminine appeal and the other more masculine.
Lynne is participating via The IndiExhibit. The IndiExhibit, a non-profit organization that represents independent artists, designers, and creatives at celebrity gift lounges and events in Hollywood. Mrs. Reichhart's work was previously featured at The IndiExhibit booth at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and the 2010 Golden Globes Gifting Suites.

Frederic Remington Art Museum's Juried Art Exhibition opens May 15

OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum's 2010 Members' Juried Art Exhibition received 84 images submitted by 34 member artists from as far away as Colorado and Long Island.
Juror Dave Beck selected 39 works to be in the exhibition, which opens Saturday, May 15 with a public reception from 2 - 4 p.m. The public is invited to meet the artists, see their work and have fun at the museum.
Award winners will be announced at the reception. Awards will include a Best in Show prize of $100, second prize of $75 and a third place prize of $50.
At the end of the exhibition, on August 28, a public's choice award, a framed print of Remington's oil painting, “Boat House at Ingleneuk,” will be awarded.
