This is a painting of Singer Castle on Dark Island in the 1000 Islands. A stone sentry on the St. Lawrence River, this lovely castle was built by the Singer sewing machine family. I am pleased to offer prints at an affordable price.
I began my career as a corporate computer analyst and have now found my bliss. Being an artist is not what I am, but who I am. I love to create vibrant paintings from scenes that I enjoy. I try to interpret my subject, always sharing a piece of myself with the viewer and hopefully continuing to grow and hone my craft. It is wonderful to see the world in a new way full of light and dark, brightness and dullness and hard and soft. My 'Fuchsia Frenzy' painting was included in the 2011 Golden Globe gift lounge as a display piece and one of the celebrity gift bags included prints of 'Vancouver B.C.! Great painting of Singer Castle I knew it years ago as Jordsdaht Castle (built by Singer). My family and friends have very happy memories of the place as we were lucky enough to spend several vacations there. Lots of fun, strange to go back now and not have the run of the place.
