I did this piece as a commission. This is the Erie Canal in the early 1900's flowing past Westernville, NY. It makes a nice historical landscape image. The ditch still exists today and a highway runs parallel to it.
I began my career as a corporate computer analyst and have now found my bliss. Being an artist is not what I am, but who I am. I love to create vibrant paintings from scenes that I enjoy. I try to interpret my subject, always sharing a piece of myself with the viewer and hopefully continuing to grow and hone my craft. It is wonderful to see the world in a new way full of light and dark, brightness and dullness and hard and soft. My 'Fuchsia Frenzy' painting was included in the 2011 Golden Globe gift lounge as a display piece and one of the celebrity gift bags included prints of 'Vancouver B.C.!
